The Karo, are a small tribe with an estimated population between 1,000 and 3,000. They live along the east banks of the Omo River in southern Ethiopia. The Karo people are very colourful, decorating themselves with patterns from natural paints and anything else they find appealing in nature like fruits, leafs, flowers and so on. Because these people are completely surrounded by other tribes they have become quite fierce in defending their land and people. This piece is representative of revealing your fun and colourful side to those who have your best interest at heart but to fiercely defend your boundaries and the things that are dear to your heart as a true warrior would.
